The mission
Within the Technical Direction and reporting to a Project Director, the Project / Delivery Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects with performance and results commitments. This role will oversee project delivery, ensuring that both client expectations and internal performance goals are met.
The role
The Project / Delivery Manager is responsible for the technical delivery of several projects, some of them directly, others lead by Project Leaders.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Coaching & skill up of Project Leaders: evaluate their skills, coach and develop them to start then deliver projects in full QCD.
- Functional Analysis & Client Requirements: Oversee functional analysis and ensure client requirements are fully understood and met.
- Quality-Cost-Delivery (QCD): Manage QCD aspects of the project to ensure it meets quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Planning & Resource Management: Estimate workload, set deadlines, plan activities, and allocate resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
- Team Leadership with strong International dimension: Lead the project teams, often in multiple locations worldwide, in the execution of operational activities, fostering collaboration and ensuring high performance.
- Team Development: Participate in evaluating and developing team members, helping to grow their skills and capabilities.
- Progress Monitoring: Supervise and track the consumption of resources and remaining work (RAF) for each deliverable. Identify technical challenges and address them proactively.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Project Management Methodology: Apply Alten's project management processes, methods, and tools to ensure effective project execution.
- Client Interface: Communicate with clients, preparing and facilitating monthly follow-up committees and supporting the client until final validation of Alten’s commitments.
- KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare, and present regular operational progress reports to the Project Director.
- Productivity & Profitability: Contribute to improving productivity and profitability within the projects by optimizing processes and resource allocation.
- Financial Tracking: Participate in the financial tracking of projects, including monthly closings and other financial reporting activities.
- Cross-Functional Participation: Participate in or take the lead in cross-functional projects aimed at improving the Technical Direction’s operations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards set by the Group and recommended by the client.

Your profile :
- Educational Background: Graduate from an engineering school or holder of a Master’s degree in a technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4 years focused on managing projects with performance and results commitments. Experience in leading and managing teams is a strong plus.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English and ideally in Dutch is essential for effective communication with both internal teams and clients.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the service industry is an advantage, particularly in IT & Engineering services.
