🚀 At Hays, we are collaborating with a research and technology center based in Luxembourg, highly recognized for its work at the intersection of science, innovation, and applied digital transformation. It focuses on delivering cutting-edge solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, advanced materials, and environmental technologies, while fostering strong collaboration with industry and European institutions. Operating in a dynamic and international environment, it plays a key role in bridging research and real-world applications, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and technological excellence.
🔍 We are currently looking for an AI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent AI agents and multi-agent systems. The role focuses on building autonomous and specialized agents that leverage large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and orchestration techniques to automate workflows and deliver business-driven solutions.
🎯 What are the requirements?
- Strong proficiency in Python, including asynchronous programming patterns for building scalable and efficient AI workflows
- Proven experience designing and deploying LLM-based agents in production environments, including reasoning, tool use, and workflow orchestration
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or similar
- Solid understanding of RAG architectures, including embeddings, vector databases, chunking, and retrieval strategies
- Experience with managed AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry) and integration with APIs (REST / GraphQL)
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code, and observability practices (logging, tracing, monitoring)
📊 What will your responsibilities be?
- Design, develop, and deploy autonomous AI agents leveraging large language models (LLMs), including reasoning workflows, planning logic, prompt engineering strategies, and memory architectures (short‑term and long‑term)
- Build and maintain retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, connecting agents to internal knowledge bases, document repositories, APIs, and enterprise data sources
- Design and orchestrate multi-agent systems, implementing coordination patterns (sequential, parallel, hierarchical) and optimizing workflows for performance, cost, and reliability
- Integrate AI agents into enterprise platforms and managed services (e.g. AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry), designing scalable and hybrid architectures
- Ensure AI safety, governance, and compliance, including guardrails, monitoring, observability pipelines, and alignment with GDPR and data protection requirements
- Collaborate with business and research teams to identify use cases, translate requirements into technical solutions, and deliver production-ready AI applications
💼 What do we offer?
- Onsite work model
- Location: Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg
- Full‑time freelance/permanent contract with Hays.
- Competitive salary depending on experience.
