Role Overview
A global organisation operating in safety‑critical and highly regulated environments is seeking a Lead – Cyber & Security to support a period of organisational transformation and digital growth. This role will lead the development and execution of enterprise‑wide cybersecurity strategy, ensuring secure, resilient, and business‑aligned IT and digital services across international operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, embedding security into people, processes, data, and technology while supporting continuity of operations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the organisation’s cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives
- Embed security practices into daily business and IT operations
- Own and execute the cybersecurity development roadmap
- Hold responsibility for the cybersecurity operational and development budget
- Establish, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures
- Lead risk assessments, vulnerability management, and threat mitigation activities
- Direct incident response and disaster recovery initiatives to minimise business impact
- Evaluate, select, and manage cybersecurity vendors and service partners
- Oversee monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents
- Implement and manage security tooling to protect against cyber threats
- Coordinate investigations and resolution of incidents with internal teams and external parties
- Design and deliver cybersecurity awareness and training programmes for staff and partners
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior or lead cybersecurity role within an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
Hands‑on experience with security operations and technologies such as:
- SOC environments
- Firewalls, VPNs, and secure access platforms
- Intrusion detection and prevention systems
- SIEM and endpoint security solutions
- Experience with identity and access management (AD, Entra ID, SSO)
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CE+)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and solve complex security challenges
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Fluent English skills (spoken and written)
- Willingness to work on‑site part of the week and travel occasionally domestically and internationally
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to operate effectively in multicultural environments
