AI Engineer (Contract – 6 Months)

Location: Finland (Remote / Hybrid options available)

Contract Length: 6 months

Focus: Agentic AI Systems & ML Pipelines

The organisation is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for a 6‑month contract to design and build agentic AI solutions and end‑to‑end data/ML pipelines. The role will focus on delivering production‑ready AI systems that enable autonomous decision‑making, orchestration, and scalable model workflows.

This contract is well suited to a hands‑on engineer who can move quickly from concept to implementation and is comfortable working in cross‑functional, fast‑paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI systems (multi‑agent workflows, tool‑using agents, orchestration layers)
• Develop and maintain scalable AI/ML pipelines, from data ingestion to model deployment
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into existing platforms and products
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams to translate requirements into working solutions
• Ensure pipelines and agents are robust, observable, and production‑ready
• Optimise performance, reliability, and cost across AI workflows
• Document architectures, decisions, and best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven commercial experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or similar role
• Hands‑on experience building agentic systems, LLM‑based workflows, or autonomous agents
• Strong experience with Python
• Solid understanding of AI/ML pipelines, including data processing, model training, deployment, and monitoring
• Experience working with modern AI frameworks and tooling (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector databases, orchestration frameworks)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Ability to work autonomously and deliver within contract timeframes

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MLOps practices and CI/CD for AI systems
• Knowledge of streaming or batch data pipelines
• Experience working in product‑led or scale‑up environments
• Prior contract experience in AI or data roles
