Scrum Master Large Transformation Project

Contract Type: 12-Month Daily Rate Contract

Location: Australia-wide (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Weekly)

Citizenship: Australian Citizens Only

Location: NSW, Vic, ACT, Queensland


About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic delivery team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead agile practices and uplift squad performance in a high-impact program. You’ll be a servant leader, mentor, and agile champion, driving continuous improvement and fostering a collaborative team culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Embed agile principles and practices into the team’s way of working.
  • Mentor and supervise the delivery squad to meet release outcomes.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and progress updates.
  • Coordinate across teams and support Release Train Engineers.
  • Drive improvements in ways of working and day-to-day squad coordination.
  • Manage competing priorities and maintain team focus.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support streamlined delivery.
  • Resolve issues and collaborate with technical teams for successful outcomes.
  • Foster trust and reliability through consistent delivery.


Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience facilitating the delivery of complex projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of SAFe methodology and its application within large, complex programs (government experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure user stories are well-prepared and ready for sprint execution.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities and strategic directions, with the ability to remain composed under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Proficiency in IT and project management tools, including Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence.


Desirable Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications or industry-recognized certifications in Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering or managing large-scale ICT transformation programs or projects within a government environment.
  • Exposure to technical projects involving data migrations, large case management systems, or information management platforms.
