🚀 Power BI Developer (Dashboard UX Focus) – Data Platform | $85/hr + Super

We’re partnering with a NSW Government agency to engage a Power BI specialist to support a flagship digital initiative – the Data After Dark platform. This role will focus on enhancing and refining existing dashboards to improve user experience and engagement.

This is a great opportunity to work on a high-visibility, data-driven platform that delivers near-real-time insights across the state economy.

📍 Sydney (Haymarket – Hybrid)

🕒 Contract until the end of June (extension potential)

💰 $85/hr + Super

🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Enhance and refine existing Power BI dashboards
• Improve UX/UI, layout, and visual presentation
• Apply design feedback (themes, colours, structure) to dashboards
• Optimise dashboards to be more engaging and user-friendly
• Collaborate with data, design, and stakeholder teams
• Support ongoing improvements based on user feedback

✅ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards
• Proven ability to improve visualisation, layout, and usability
• Experience working on dashboard refinement (not just building from scratch)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High level of integrity (working with sensitive data)

🎯 DESIRABLE

• Experience in government or public sector environments
• Exposure to user experience (UX) or design principles
• Background in reporting, BI, or insights-focused roles
