Financial Controller

Mercedes-Benz Romania
Romania · Full-time · Associate

If you believe “premium” and “excellence” should describe not only products, but also the way we work, you’ll feel at home here.

In this role, you’ll help create transparency and structure across our controlling, planning, and reporting processes, ensuring we stay on track with profitability goals, deadlines, and business needs; with strong collaboration across teams.

You’ll be part of a function where finance is more than numbers: it’s a true partner in shaping strategic and operational decisions through solid analysis, forecasting, and smart insights.

Your Mission

You ensure clear and efficient controlling and planning processes, aligned with guidelines and deadlines, and shaped by business needs and input from key partners, including monitoring profitability and relevant KPIs.

You analyze and forecast financial and economic data to provide accurate, timely insights that support both strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

You will act as a reliable financial partner and help turn data into decisions by:

  • Owning structured bottom-up planning for your allocated business areas, keeping partners informed on progress and key changes.
  • Monitoring spending efficiency and KPI development to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Executing the monthly closing process with accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Delivering timely, relevant reporting and financial analysis tailored to internal stakeholders’ needs.
  • Evaluating financial impacts of business cases and spotting optimization opportunities.
  • Supporting the creation and continuous improvement of dashboards, and contributing to the implementation of best AI practices in reporting/analysis
  • Ensuring the performance and monitoring of compliance-related internal controls in your area.

What We’re Hoping You’ll Bring

We’d love to get to know you if you…

  • Share our values of passion, integrity, respect, discipline, and diversity.
  • Feel comfortable taking responsibility and ownership, and enjoy bringing structure to complex topics.
  • Understand how finance supports business success; and you’re motivated to be a proactive partner, not just a reporting function.
  • Enjoy working with data and turning it into insights people can act on (planning, KPIs, forecasts, reporting, dashboards).

Why This Role Matters

Your work will directly influence how well the organization plans, spends, and delivers results and you’ll help teams make decisions with confidence. If you like combining precision with collaboration, and you find satisfaction in making things clearer, faster, and smarter, this could be a great next step.
