Typescript Developer

💼 TypeScript Developer | Node.js, NestJS, APIs | Remote from Romania

At CrewHarbor, we connect companies with strong IT teams in Romania. For one of our German clients, we are looking for an experienced TypeScript Developer with strong backend expertise and a solid understanding of modern software architecture and scalable systems.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using TypeScript / JavaScript

• Build and integrate REST APIs and ensure clean system communication

• Work with modern frameworks such as Node.js, NestJS or Express.js

• Contribute to software architecture and system design decisions

• Collaborate in cross-functional teams and support end-to-end development

• Ensure code quality, performance and scalability of applications

• Work with databases and optimize queries (SQL-based systems)

• Participate in modern development processes including CI/CD and DevOps practices

Your Profile

Several years of experience in TypeScript / JavaScript development

• 5+ years backend experience

• Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS and/or Express.js

• Solid understanding of API design, integration and system architecture

• Experience with databases and strong SQL fundamentals

• Knowledge of software engineering principles (authentication, authorization, ORMs, APIs)

• Experience in building and operating scalable systems

• Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus

• Experience with Azure is nice to have

• First exposure to AI topics (e.g. LLM usage) is a plus

• University degree in a relevant field or comparable experience

• Fluent English, German is nice to have
