Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help design and scale real-time, cloud-native backend systems. You’ll work closely with Engineering and Product teams to build high-performance services in the Banking and Payments domain.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and optimize scalable backend systems
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of services
• Contribute to the evolution of our backend architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative fintech projects
• Propose and implement technical improvements and new solutions
• Stay up to date with modern technologies and engineering best practices

Tech stack

Java (11+) · Kotlin · Spring Boot · REST APIs · Kafka / RabbitMQ · PostgreSQL / MySQL · Docker · Kubernetes · GCP (or similar cloud) · Microservices · Redis (nice to have) · gRPC (nice to have)

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in backend development (Java/Kotlin preferred)
• Experience designing scalable and highly available systems
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and TDD
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with cloud-native applications (preferably GCP)
• Hands-on mindset and problem-solving attitude
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Fluent English & Italian

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC
• Experience with Redis or other caching solutions
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
• Background in fintech or regulated environments
