Site Engineer – Data Centre in Finland

£500 per day – Outside IR35

Trevett Services are delighted to be partnering with a leading Consultancy to source a Site Engineer for a Data Centre in Finland.

Working on a large scale Data Centre project, this is a 6/7 year contract.

The Site Engineer will act as the site representative supporting the FIDIC Engineer. The role ensures that the Engineer’s duties under the Contract are executed effectively on site, while maintaining independence, compliance with FIDIC procedures, and clear reporting lines.

Required Experience:

5–10 years on construction projects, ideally infrastructure, buildings, or civils.

2–3 years specifically working under FIDIC Red/Yellow/Silver Book environments.

Key Responsibilities

Support the FIDIC Engineer in their responsibilities, including:

On-Site Monitoring & Oversight

• Maintain a continuous presence on site as the FIDIC contract representative.

• Observe daily construction activities to verify compliance with:

o FIDIC contract obligations

o Approved design information

o Finnish Building Act and associated technical codes

o Approved method statements and risk assessments

• Identify deviations early and escalate to the FIDIC Engineer.

• Participate in site meetings.

• Produce minutes and ensure actions are tracked to closure.

• Act as the FIDIC Engineer’s conduit for on-site information, ensuring clarity and correctness.

***Data Centre experience FIDIC Contracts (essential) and basic Finnish is desirable
