Intern - Software Engineer

Within POST Technologies, the ICT Infrastructure department supports POST Luxembourg business services and is responsible for the evolution, design, and support of ICT Infrastructures.

We are currently looking for an Intern - Software Engineer (m/f/n)

Your Internship Project

As part of the overhaul of our ELK logging system you will :

• Design and implement transformations for vector syslog
• Develop and maintain simple Python scripts to automate workflows and support data processing tasks
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimize existing transformations and scripts

Your additional missions

• Document solutions and processes for internal knowledge sharing
• Support additional tasks related to data flow and log management as needed
  
  

Your profile

• You are currently preparing a University Degree in IT and are accredited by a training organization (school, university) for an internship period of 2 to 6 consecutive months
• You hold the following skills and qualifications
• Basic understanding of syslog protocols and log management principles
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation
• Familiarity with vector (or other log aggregation tools) and its transformation configuration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• You ideally have the following skills:
• Experience with logging tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, InfluxDB and Kibana
• Basic understanding of data pipelines or ETL workflows
• Exposure to version control systems like Git
• Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker
• You speak fluently English and French
