Security Engineer

🚨 Security Engineer – Contract Opportunity | Skien, Norway

I’m currently seeking an experienced Security Engineer with Google data centre experience to join a major project in Skien, Norway.

This is an immediate contract requirement supporting a large-scale, mission-critical data centre build.

🔐 The role:

You’ll be responsible for overseeing and supporting the delivery, testing, and commissioning of electronic security systems across the site. Working closely with contractors, vendors, and client teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all systems are installed, integrated, and validated to the highest standards.

⚙️ Key responsibilities:

• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection)
• Coordinate with security vendors, integrators, and general contractors
• Review technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
• Oversee system integration and interface with other critical systems
• Manage QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with project standards
• Assist with functional testing, witnessing, and final handover
• Troubleshoot issues and drive resolution in line with project timelines

✅ Requirements:

• Proven experience working on Google data centre projects (essential)
• Strong background in electronic security systems within critical environments
• Experience supporting commissioning / delivery phases on large-scale projects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong coordination and communication skills
