Senior Project & Demand Manager

The Senior Project & Demand Manager acts as a key enabler for the Global Engineering Applications Manager by driving clarity, structure, and prioritization of all incoming demands. The role ensures that demand intake is consistent, well-structured, and decision-ready, enabling efficient portfolio prioritization and execution across the unit.

In addition, this role takes ownership of selected initiatives as a Project Manager (~50%), ensuring successful delivery aligned with business priorities.

The role bridges demand management and execution, ensuring that high-quality inputs translate into well-delivered outcomes.

Responsibilities

Demand Management:

• Act as the central coordination point for incoming demands within the unit
• Ensure all demands are properly structured, complete, and decision-ready
• Challenge and refine inputs when information is incomplete or unclear
• Work with Enterprise Architecture team, proactively evaluate existing applications, systems, and capabilities to identify suitable solutions before proposing new ones
• Maintain visibility of the demand pipeline and ensure transparency
• Translate complex or unstructured demand inputs into clear decision-ready formats
• Support the Global Engineering Applications Manager in prioritizing and sequencing demands

Project Management:

• Lead selected initiatives end-to-end as a Project Manager
• Drive initiatives forward, ensure execution and delivery of outcomes - not just coordination
• Highlight risks, dependencies, and trade-offs for leadership
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership on expectations and priorities
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure alignment
• Drive alignment, clarity, and accountability

Requirements

• Strong experience in demand management /project management / business operations
• Ability to structure complex, unstructured information into actionable insights
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in governance or process standardization
• Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capability
• High attention to detail and quality of information
• Fluent in English

Preferred Background

• Experience in PM, PMO, Portfolio Management, or Business Operations
• Previous experience in engineering-driven or industrial organizations is highly valued
• Formal project management experience (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
• Certifications are a plus (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
• Experience in complex, matrix organizations
• Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, MS Project
