Freelance Project Manager – IT & Digital Banking Transformation

For a long‑term, strategic program, we are looking for an experienced freelance Project Manager with strong affinity for IT transformations within banking or financial services.

You will be responsible for leading a complex transformation in which existing systems are migrated to a new, fully digitalized landscape. You will safeguard planning, scope, and quality, and act as the linking pin between business, IT, and external vendors. The focus is on delivery, migration, and stakeholder management in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading IT and business teams within a large‑scale program
• Coordinating system and client migrations
• Translating business requirements into executable plans
• Managing the roadmap, dependencies, and risks
• Intensive stakeholder management, including senior stakeholders
• Working closely with Compliance, Risk, and Legal
• Reporting on progress, issues, and decision‑making

Profile

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager / Delivery Manager
• Experience with IT transformations or digital migrations
• Affinity with banking, payments, cash management, or core banking
• Understanding of systems such as SAP, Pega, and LoanIQ (high‑level understanding is sufficient)
• Strong ability to bring structure and simplify complexity
• Strong communicator, self‑driven, and results‑oriented
