Location: Luxembourg City

Start Date: ASAP - long-term

Workload: Full-time (80% possible — 4 days/week optional)

On-site Presence: 3–5 days per week

Working Hours: Flexible between 07:00 – 19:00 (Core hours 09:00 – 16:00)

We are currently looking for a Senior Windows System Engineer to join a major banking environment in Luxembourg. This role is part of a critical infrastructure team focused on Windows platforms, virtualization, and server environments within a high-availability, high-security production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, enterprise-scale infrastructure with strong technical and project coordination responsibilities.

🔧 Role Overview

The consultant will support and coordinate technical projects within a sensitive production environment, requiring autonomy, rigor, and strong troubleshooting skills.

You will work on critical Windows Server infrastructures subject to strict requirements in:

• Security
• Performance
• Compliance
• SLA commitments

👤 Profile Requirements

General Skills

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience
• Strong team player with excellent integration skills
• Autonomous and proactive mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in critical environments (financial sector preferred)
• Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Fluent in French and English (Luxembourgish is a plus)

💻 Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
• Microsoft technologies:
• Windows Failover Cluster
• Active Directory
• ADFS
• ADCS
• Microsoft security and hardening best practices
• Technical project coordination experience

• VMware & Omnissa Horizon
• Networking knowledge (DNS, Webproxy, Firewall, Load Balancing)
• Banking applications experience
• MS Project

• Participate in technical projects / mini-project management
• Work within a multidisciplinary infrastructure team
• Improve, stabilize, and automate systems
• Handle Level 3 tickets
• Produce technical documentation
• Knowledge transfer to Level 2 teams
