A well-established, Irish-owned business operating within retail is seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team.

This is a broad, hands-on role reporting directly to the Financial Controller, offering excellent exposure across the full finance function within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the finance function across a range of accounting and operational activities
• Assist with reconciliations, reporting and the maintenance of accurate financial records
• Contribute to month-end processes and wider finance team deliverables
• Provide support across supplier payments, account administration and related queries
• Assist with payroll coordination, compliance reporting and finance administration
• Work closely with internal teams and external contacts to ensure efficient finance operations
• Support ongoing process improvement and general finance team requirements

About You

• Part-qualified accountant or Accounting Technician (ATI or similar)
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Strong systems skills, particularly Excel
• Proactive, organised and capable of working on own initiative
• Must hold a stamp 4 or EU Passport
• Onsite parking available
