Group Cybersecurity Manager

As Group Cybersecurity Manager at Sarens, you are fully responsible for the group-wide cybersecurity strategy. You safeguard and continuously strengthen our security posture across countries, entities and IT domains, ensuring cybersecurity is embedded into both business and IT operations.

You combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise and actively contribute to building a strong security-aware culture.

We are looking for a senior Group Cybersecurity Manager who takes ownership of cybersecurity governance, risk management and technical controls in an international environment.

Your Future Role As Group Cybersecurity Manager – Key Responsibilities

• You define, maintain and evolve the group-wide cybersecurity strategy, technical controls, policies and roadmap, in line with ISO 27001 and regulatory requirements.
• You monitor security compliance and report risks, status and improvements to the Group IT Director
• You manage and continuously improve the Information Security Risk Register.
• You perform risk assessments covering infrastructure, applications, cloud/SaaS, business processes and third-party suppliers.
• You define and follow up risk treatment plans together with IT, business and procurement stakeholders.
• You ensure that new projects implement security-by-design from the earliest stages.
• You steer the implementation of technical security controls (identity & access, network segmentation, endpoint security, logging and vulnerability management).
• You further develop the organization’s Zero Trust maturity.
• You coordinate penetration tests, audits (ISO, customer, supplier) and ensure proper follow-up of remediation actions.
• You oversee incident response, threat detection and monitoring (SIEM/XDR, threat intelligence).
• You develop and manage a group-wide security awareness and training program, in close collaboration with HR & Training.
• You work closely with internal teams and external partners (SOC/MSSP, auditors, security providers).
• You align cybersecurity requirements with business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.

You are a seasoned cybersecurity professional with a broad perspective on governance, risk and technology. You communicate fluently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and naturally take ownership.

• You have at least 7–10 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• You have proven experience with ISO 27001, risk management and security audits.
• You possess a solid understanding of security architecture, cloud and enterprise IT environments.
• You feel comfortable working in an international environment.
• You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong asset.
• You are willing to travel occasionally.
