Cyber Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various sources, including SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.
• Investigate security incidents and coordinate response and remediation efforts.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support patch management activities.
• Assist in maintaining and enforcing information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Analyze network traffic, logs, and security events for potential threats.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure security best practices are embedded in operations and development.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or SOC operations.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) and EDR tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, SentinelOne).
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and incident response processes.
• Working knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks
• Security+, CySA+, or CISSP certification preferred.
