UX/UI Designer Intern — XR / AR Platform (Remote)

About us

XR Solutions builds augmented reality tools for industrial operations — from AR-guided maintenance to real-time remote support on factory floors.

Our platform is used across industries like pharmaceuticals, automotive, mining, and manufacturing to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency. We’re now expanding the product — and need a designer to shape how it works in the real world.

The role

This is not a “support” design role.

You will take ownership of the UX/UI for our XR glasses platform — designing interfaces that technicians rely on in real working environments. This includes everything from step-by-step workflows to live AR collaboration tools and real-time data overlays.

You’ll work across the full design process, from early research to production-ready design, in close collaboration with product and engineering.

Remote to start, with the option to move hybrid later.

What you’ll do

• Own the UX/UI design process end-to-end (research → concept → prototype → delivery)
• Design for XR environments (spatial UI, voice, gestures, eye tracking)
• Conduct user research and usability testing with real industrial users
• Build and evolve design systems in Figma
• Work closely with developers (Unity) to bring designs into production

What we’re looking for

• Strong working experience in Figma (you know your way around systems, not just screens)
• Experience building and maintaining design systems
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without constant direction
• Clear, structured thinking and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with AR / XR / spatial design
• Experience working with Unity or similar environments

• This is an unpaid internship
• High-performing interns are considered for a paid role
