SKL Technology is currently searching for multiple motivated Front-End Developers / UI Designers to join our growing client within their Services Division.

The role involves delivering user-centric front-end development and interface design within a complex enterprise environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, accessible, and high-quality digital experiences. You will play a key role in designing and developing modern web interfaces, balancing user needs, business requirements, and technical constraints to deliver effective digital solutions.

This position requires someone with a strong dual skillset across UI design and front-end development, capable of moving from concept through to implementation. You will work across prototyping, usability testing, and development, translating user research and design artefacts into responsive, production-ready interfaces while ensuring accessibility and performance standards are met.

Length: 12 months (with 2 x 12-month extension options)

Citizenship: AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP IS ESSENTIAL

Work Mode: Onsite (hybrid options may be considered)

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop user-centric interfaces for web applications, ensuring strong usability and accessibility outcomes.
2. Create and iterate on user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes based on user feedback and research insights.
3. Build responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS and/or Angular).
4. Collaborate with designers, developers, and stakeholders to translate user research and usability findings into practical improvements.
5. Conduct and support usability testing and UX evaluations, ensuring alignment with accessibility and design standards.
6. Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines, delivering inclusive and accessible digital experiences.
7. Work within established design systems and style guides, maintaining consistency across platforms.
8. Contribute to continuous improvement of user experience, design processes, and front-end development practices.

Essential Criteria

• Strong experience designing and developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS and/or Angular).
• Demonstrated ability to work within design systems and style guides to deliver consistent UI solutions.
• Experience translating usability testing and user research insights into actionable UI improvements.
• Strong understanding and practical implementation of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) accessibility standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and collaborate across teams.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience using prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Axure.
• Strong capability in wireframing, prototyping, and rapid iteration of design solutions.
• Relevant qualifications in design, UX/UI, computer science, or related disciplines.
