Job Summary – Senior Android Developer (Toronto, Ontario)

  • Develop and maintain complex, high-quality native Android applications for a leading Canadian banking app.
  • Analyze requirements, propose optimal technical solutions, and write/test effective, maintainable code.
  • Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team, adhering to best practices and processes.
  • Review and refactor existing code to ensure ongoing feasibility and maintainability.
  • Conduct impact analysis of proposed system changes and provide recommendations to product owners.
  • Stay updated on Android platform advancements and introduce relevant improvements.
  • Present and document technical solutions clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Enforce coding standards through peer code reviews.
  • Mentor junior developers in software engineering and Android development best practices.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and accessible app development, considering non-functional requirements.
  • Work onsite in Toronto, with an in-person interview required; four days per week at client office.
