Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist / Business Analyst to join our Wealth Management Canada Business Intelligence Team. You will play a key role in modernizing our analytics infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to drive strategic transformation while directly supporting business users across investment advisory, branch management, and head office functions.

Core Responsibilities

  • System Migration & Modernization: Lead the migration of reports from legacy SAS systems to Snowflake/Tableau, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal business disruption
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct discovery sessions with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, pain points, and analytics requirements; document and prioritize requirements to inform solution design
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and other departments to ensure project deliverables meet requirements and timelines
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive documentation, data dictionaries, and knowledge base articles to support team and stakeholder understanding
  • Data Ecosystem Expertise: Develop deep knowledge of our data landscape, identify authoritative data sources, and become a go-to resource for data location and accessibility questions
  • This is an individual contributor role

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting or related field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to independently work cross-functionally
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent) and MS Excel
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of financial services or wealth management industry
  • Experience with Snowflake or cloud data platforms
  • Familiarity with SAS
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CRM3, CIRO)
