30847 – PROJECT MANAGER (NFW ONSHORE)

At Eni, we are looking for a Project Manager within our Branch in Qatar. You will be supporting and working with the Senior Project Manager on the development and execution of the Onshore scope of work for the North Field West (NFW) projects, providing leadership to the team, considering the projects’ interdependencies and critical path, ensuring adherence to milestones, keeping the management up to date on strategic initiatives and business impacts, defining appropriate KPIs and building and sustaining a solid reporting foundation.

As a member of the North Field West Onshore Project – Major Projects Group, you will be responsible for:

Working with Senior Project Manager in overseeing the delivery of NFW Onshore project with the highest safety and quality standards, in accordance with contractual arrangements, and achieving required financial objectives in compliance with rules and regulations.
Working closely with Senior Project Manager and other relevant parties throughout all phases of the NFW Onshore project activities, from early project conception through planning, designing, construction, commissioning, ready for start-up, handover to operations, post start-up support and project close-out, to ensure successful project completion.
Promoting a culture of safety within the project team and addressing any safety-related issues promptly. Fostering the creation of a “Beyond Zero” safety culture and maintaining an incident free “no blame” project execution culture so that “nobody gets hurt” across the project teams. Ensuring that all project activities comply with approved Company policies and international HSE standards and regulations.
Stewarding the progression of deliverables including scope, schedule and budget for the Project. Directing and establishing systems, standards and procedures to carry out the Detailed Engineering Procurement, Construction & Completion project. Managing project resources, forecasting and communicating resource requirements, to ensure all planned and budgeted activities have the necessary resources.
Planning for upcoming tasks, potential problem areas, technical information, staffing priorities and identifying solutions. Developing opportunities to enhance system, control, and efficiency through process improvements. Ensuring corrective actions through the development and implementation of risk/issue response action plans.
Leading the implementation of project and financial control systems to monitor project progress against target and budget, ensuring the development of cash forecasts. Presenting report to senior leadership team and various executive committees required.
Participating in establishing agreements with partners, preparation and award of contracts with consultants or contractors.
Establishing good relationship with clients, vendors and subcontractors, ensuring on time delivery and within specified budgets.
Authorizing, allocating and managing project resources, forecasting needs and communicating requirements to ensure all activities are adequately resourced. Defining and organizing the project management team for each division, ensuring qualified personnel are assigned and mobilized, and empowering Division Managers within their scope. Leading the project management team, fostering consensus while authorizing and managing resources for optimal use and timely project delivery to ensure that they develop and maintain in-house tools and systems required to meet business needs.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Extensive experience in capital projects within large corporations in Oil & Gas, mainly in management positions.
Extensive experience in major projects management and coordination and good knowledge of process and facilities engineering, operations, environment, safety and commercial aspects.
Excellent oral and written English skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational, planning and multi-tasking skills.
Strong leadership skills, autonomy and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage a heavy workload.
