Overview
We are looking for a reliable Human Resources Assistant to support HR operations, including recruitment, employee records, and administrative tasks. This entry-level role helps maintain smooth HR functions and contributes to a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment by posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Maintain employee files, update HR databases, and ensure accurate records for payroll and benefits.
- Support benefits administration, performance reviews, and employee relations inquiries.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and training materials.
- Coordinate events, track compliance, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1+ years in administrative or HR support; knowledge of employment standards.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR), MS Office, and Google Workspace.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Preferred Attributes
- HR certifications (e.g., CPHR student) or experience with Canadian labour laws.
- Customer-service mindset and attention to detail.
