Domaine is looking for a motivated team member that has a passion for eCommerce who wants to grow with our agency to develop into an industry leader in the space. The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. This role requires a proactive and strategic thinker who can manage projects independently while maintaining excellent client relationships. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of ecommerce standards, web development cycles, and roadmapping, with a strong ability to translate client goals into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Independently manage multiple monthly retainers and projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, scopes, and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Create and maintain organized project documentation, including project plans and development tickets.
  • Anticipate and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Maintain 80% billable time.

Client Communication

  • Employ principles of efficient and effective external communication, both written and verbal, with minimal assistance.
  • Manage client communications regarding budgets, enhancements, and project phasing.
  • Report regularly to clients on project progress, including budget and hour usage, timelines, and potential delays.

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrate knowledge of ecommerce standards, web development cycles, and roadmapping.
  • Master the technology and products involved in projects, ensuring the team’s work aligns with client goals.
  • Understand and apply web accessibility principles in project development.
  • Use Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), time planning tools (Productive), and other common project management tools (Gdrive, Smartsheet, Front, Notion).

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with team members across multiple time zones, ensuring all team members feel valued, supported, and heard.
  • Build consensus, resolve conflicts, and align both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Employ best practices in Agile team management and Scrum facilitation, ensuring smooth project execution.

Continuous Improvement

  • Run retrospectives regularly, sharing findings to improve future work.
  • Self-aware and receptive to feedback, proactively seeking growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted authority on projects, both internally and externally, leading project teams with confidence.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in ecommerce or digital product environments.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce standards and web development processes.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Smartsheet, or other project management software.
  • Strong understanding of budget management, resource planning, and project risk management principles.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage challenging client interactions.
  • Ability to build consensus and resolve conflicts among diverse stakeholders.

Personal Attributes

  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive in identifying and filling gaps in projects.
  • A team player who is willing to assist others and share feedback constructively.

Credentials & Experience

  • Experience working with JIRA/Confluence or other tickets management systems.
  • 2-3 years of experience working in eCommerce
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in writing software documentation
  • Strong understanding of the lifecycle and methodologies of software development
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate complicated systems to other team members and generate buy-in
  • Manages own work on a weekly basis
  • Consistently delivers high-quality material on time
  • Demonstrates above-average productivity
