The daa is embarking on an ambitious programme of work to leverage AI and Intelligent Automation to drive efficiency, optimise resources, and support the continued growth of Dublin Airport. The programme will include workstreams across data analytics, automation, and expert systems impacting critical operations and services across Dublin Airport.

The Scrum Master will play a key role in the delivery of this programme of work, working closely with the AI Programme Manager, the Scrum Master will have a strong focus on facilitating collaboration between technical and business teams, ensuring iterative progress, and removing obstacles to delivery.


The Scrum Master will report to the daa AI Programme Manager and will sit within the AI Programme Team.


Responsibilities

  • Facilitating all Agile ceremonies, incl. sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to keep the teams aligned & on track.
  • Maintain relevant metrics that report on progress (e.g. burndown charts, defect trends, user story/feature completion rates, capacity, velocity)
  • Work alongside the business owner, and relevant stakeholders to proactively identify and resolve potential challenges before they arise
  • Supporting and enabling the team by managing backlogs, refining user stories, and ensuring priorities are clear to drive successful sprint outcomes, in line with the AI Programme objectives
  • Anticipating and resolving obstacles that hinder progress, enabling the team to focus on their goals and deliver value consistently
  • Foster internal team communication by building a trusting and safe environment where the emphasis on problem-solving. Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
  • Supports the Programme Manager in the delivery of the programme, ensuring transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies.

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a dedicated Scrum Master in a complex technical environment, helping development teams apply Agile, Scrum/SAFe & DevSecOps practices


Skills

  • Proficient in Agile methodologies and experienced in proactively identifying and removing roadblocks to help teams maintain and enhance momentum
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies and track progress metrics (i.e. burndown charts, velocity, and user story completion rates)
  • Ability to integrate Agile practices with AI/ML workflows, across data pipeline management, UX/UI Development, QA and deployment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust within teams and facilitate effective collaboration between team members and stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to effectively facilitate and coordinate delivery across a mix of internal teams and onshore and offshore partners, ensuring strong collaboration, alignment, and consistent ways of working.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical environments.
  • Self-driven and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to outcomes.
  • Experience with Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.


Education & Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma/Certification in Computer Science, Science, Business or related field
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or equivalent certification required.
