Product Owner / Manager - Battery Analytics

Position Overview:

We are seeking an individual to work as Product Owner / Manager for our Battery Analytics Platform startup. The individual will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features across the technology stack. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation and requirements to data integration, analytics visualization, release planning, and continuous improvement, ensuring the platform delivers measurable business and user value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring they align with business objectives, customer requirements, and technical feasibility. Serve as both Product Manager (strategy) and Product Owner (execution).
• Own and continuously refine the Product Backlog in Azure DevOps, guiding backlog planning, validating completed work against acceptance criteria, and supporting releases.
• Collaborate daily with technical teams (developers, QA, architects, DevOps) to clarify requirements and oversee execution. Drive the sprint and release plans.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between engineering teams and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring product alignment for POC and customer-side deployment activities
• Use feedback from customers, analytics, and operational insights to continuously improve the product and inform future roadmap decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s is a plus.
• 2–5 years of experience in Product Ownership and/or Product Management, preferably in energy, EV, industrial IoT, or data-driven platforms with complex workflows
• Proven experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder collaboration in cross-functional teams
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for managing PBIs, epics, backlog prioritization, and sprint delivery tracking
• Strong technical fluency to engage with engineering teams on system architecture, microservices, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, data contracts, CI/CD pipelines, NoSQL database schemas, Analytics/Monitoring tools, and cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS)
• Hands-on experience with modern web application stacks, including React and Node.js
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
• Certification in Product Management (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, Pragmatic Institute) or Agile methodologies
