PL/I Developer

Context

As part of a large-scale digitalization program, our client is strengthening its mainframe team and is looking for 3 experienced PL/I Developers.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications written in PL/I
• Work within a z/OS mainframe environment
• Handle and optimize JCL, OPC scheduling, DB2, SQL
• Perform debugging, testing, and performance tuning
• Contribute to technical and functional analysis when required
• Design and implement IT solutions aligned with business needs
• Collaborate on projects combining mainframe backend systems with modern frontend technologies (Java or .NET)

Required Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in PL/I programming
• Solid experience with mainframe development techniques:
• JCL
• OPC
• DB2
• SQL
• Debugging tools
• Very good understanding of the z/OS environment

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of PL/SQL
• Experience integrating mainframe backend applications with Java or .NET frontend technologies
