Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Back-end Developer with strong React expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in building scalable microservices using Spring Boot, working with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and implementing event-driven architecture using Kafka.

This role requires strong backend development capabilities along with solid front-end experience in React. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite in London, UK.

Job Title: Java Back-end Developer (Strong React)

Location: London, UK (3 Days Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot framework
Develop robust and scalable backend systems using Java 21+
Build and maintain React-based front-end components
Integrate microservices with databases (Oracle or similar RDBMS)
Implement and manage streaming solutions using Kafka
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines in AWS/Azure
Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and bugs
Write comprehensive unit and integration test cases
Create detailed technical documentation for developed microservices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of overall IT experience
Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or newer, preferably Java 21+)
Extensive experience in Microservices architecture using Spring & Spring Boot
Strong React development experience
Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure services and integrations
Experience with Kafka or similar streaming technologies
Experience with Oracle or similar relational databases
Strong SQL writing skills
Experience working in Agile methodology
Solid understanding of SDLC processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and trade lifecycle
Previous experience in financial domain projects
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience working with high-performing global teams
