UX Designer

Launch Group are seeking an UX designer for a 12 month contract for a client in the consulting space.

  • 12 month contract - $695 per day inc superannuation
  • 4 days per week in office
  • Must be Australian Citizen, ideally with existing baseline security clearance

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing intuitive, user‑centred interfaces and experiences across digital products and services
  • Translating user needs, business requirements, and insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs
  • Conducting and supporting user research, usability testing, and design validation activities
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, business analysts, developers, and service designers
  • Developing and maintaining design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components
  • Ensuring all designs meet accessibility, usability, and responsive design standards
  • Supporting development teams with clear design specifications and implementation guidance
  • Iterating designs based on feedback, data, and user insights
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of UX/UI practices and standards

Key Requirements

  • A strong portfolio showcasing user‑centred design thinking and problem‑solving
  • Proficiency with leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Experience with usability testing and user research methods
  • Solid understanding of accessibility and responsive design principles
  • Experience working in Agile or multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into simple, intuitive, elegant designs
