Back End Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PMO, Product Management, Development, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Operations teams.
• Design and develop middle-tier services using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or .NET.
• Build scalable, secure REST/SOAP APIs supporting mobile and web platforms.
• Draft and review architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and design documentation.
• Work within an enterprise technology stack including Java, C++, Linux/Unix, open-source platforms, and SOA.
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of backend systems.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
• Gain strong domain understanding of financial products and trading systems.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in: Core Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, TypeScript & Node.js
• Experience with: J2EE / Servlets, REST & SOAP Web Services, JSON-based APIs, Kafka and/or ActiveMQ, Tomcat, Maven
• Experience working with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, DB2, Sybase, etc.)
• Strong understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), CI/CD principles
• Experience in API design for extensibility and scalability.
