GCP DevOps - Data Ops - Contract

We are supporting a large scale data platform modernisation programme and are seeking an experienced DataOps / DevOps Specialist to join a cloud migration initiative.

This assignment focuses on migrating an on premise data lake built on Apache technologies into a modern, cloud native architecture on Google Cloud Platform. You will play a key role in designing, building and delivering a sustainable and compliant future ready data platform.

Location: Hybrid - Solna

Start: ASAP

Contract: Until 31 December 2026, which option to extend.

Key Responsibilities

• Support migration from a Cloudera based Apache stack to GCP

• Work within containerised environments and managed cloud services

• Contribute hands on to delivery within a DataOps team

• Implement infrastructure as code practices

• Support ETL processes and optimise the data platform

Required Experience

• Apache Spark

• Apache NiFi

• Containerisation such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Infrastructure as Code, ideally Terraform

• Python and SQL

• Database management and ETL processes

• Cloudera ecosystem

• Scala

Experience level: 4 to 8 years

Language: English required, Swedish is advantageous

Desirable Experience

• Google Cloud Platform, particularly Dataproc

• CI/CD pipelines

• Apache Airflow

• Observability and monitoring tools

• YAML, Linux and Windows

• Event driven architecture

• Elasticsearch and Kibana

• Strong CLI proficiency
