Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer with deep experience supporting blockchain-based platforms. This role will own the DevOps strategy, infrastructure, and reliability of our systems, working closely with engineering, security, and product teams. Prior exposure to crypto ecosystems is a strong plus.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who thrives in startup environments and can balance speed, stability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the DevOps architecture for a blockchain platform (L1/L2 or enterprise blockchain).
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead CI/CD strategy for smart contracts, backend services, and microservices.
• Manage node infrastructure (validators, full nodes, RPC endpoints) ensuring high uptime and performance.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation across environments.
• Drive observability: monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Work closely with security teams to enforce best practices around key management, secrets, and compliance.
• Mentor and guide DevOps and platform engineers; set engineering standards and best practices.
• Support production releases, migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

Mandatory Skill Set (Must-Have)

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Proven hands-on experience supporting blockchain platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger, Polygon, Solana, or similar).
• Strong experience managing blockchain nodes, RPC infrastructure, and consensus-related services.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration at scale.
• Advanced experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Strong Linux system administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience implementing security best practices (IAM, secrets management, encryption, audits).
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal supervision.

Good to Have (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience working in crypto-native environments (exchanges, wallets, DeFi, NFTs, Web3 products).
• Familiarity with smart contract deployment pipelines and tooling.
• Experience with multi-chain environments and cross-chain infrastructure.
• Knowledge of key management systems (HSMs, Vault, MPC-based custody).
• Exposure to compliance and security standards relevant to blockchain/crypto platforms.
