The position

As a Backend Developer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. You will have the opportunity to work on various projects over the years, based on your experience and interests. Projects within industries such as Banking, Fintech, Telco, Retail, Sports, and Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

You are someone who feels at home working across Node.js, AWS, and CI/CD. In this hybrid role, you’ll work on backend development and on DevOps, shaping systems used across multiple brands.

• Design and build a server-driven UI backend supporting multiple frontend products.
• Manage and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and scalability across backend systems.
• Build reusable, configurable features that power several brands with minimal duplication.

What you bring to the position

• You write clean, maintainable code in TypeScript, or have strong experience with another statically typed language and are eager to learn TypeScript.
• You have experience with Node.js, building backend services that are robust and scalable.
• You’ve worked with AWS (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), or are motivated to quickly get up to speed.
• You understand the basics of Infrastructure as Code and may have written Terraform modules.
• You enjoy teamwork: collaborating, exchanging feedback, and helping others grow.
• You’re proactive, curious, and excited to explore new tools, patterns, and approaches.
• You like to see your work in action and care deeply about its impact on users and product teams.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with the CMS Enonic, which we use in parts of our platform.
• Knowledge of Java (a plus, but far less important).
