The project:

Our client in the banking sector, is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst – Accounting & Reporting Solutions to strengthen their team.

To achieve this mission, you will:

• Analyze Data Quality Controls implemented by the Group within the COMET tool for ALM data
• Leverage data analytics, data visualization, scripting and automation techniques to support analysis and validation
• Identify root causes of data quality issues and propose remediation solutions in collaboration with the COMET team in Paris
• Translate findings into clear, consistent and complete business requirements
• Define and maintain a remediation and improvement roadmap
• Prepare, coordinate and execute testing activities, including detailed analysis of delivered results versus expected outcomes
• Coordinate and follow up on the implementation of agreed solutions within COMET
• Define Remediation Action Plans to correct data sourcing issues when applicable
• Document implemented solutions and related business and technical processes
• Ensure proactive, structured and transparent communication towards Management and all relevant stakeholders

Is this you?

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field

Language Requirements

• English: Fluent (written and spoken)
• French: Fluent spoken (written is a plus)

Required Experience & Skills

• Professional Experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar functional role within a financial institution

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IT systems and data tools: SQL, Excel, Access
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Clear, structured and effective communication
• Experience with Business Objects, Cognos
• Knowledge of OFS
• Business Expertise
• Strong understanding of ALM data and processes
• Proven experience as Functional Analyst / Data Analyst
• Knowledge of banking accounting principles
