The Role

The Product & Tech team at Magma is divided into three core experiences: Teacher, Student and District. With a growing user base (and plenty of exciting problems to solve), we’re now hiring Product Managers to strengthen both the Teacher Experience team and the District Experience team.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of developers, QA and designers to plan, build and launch new features within one of these experiences. You will own a domain end-to-end - from figuring out what problem is worth solving, to shipping a solution, to making sure it actually creates value for students, teachers, districts and the business.‍

Who You Are And What You Know

To succeed in the role you need to:

• Be hands-ons and contribute across full product development phase: user research, design, implementation, testing. This is not a pure project manager role where you are only coordinating
• Be comfortable owning both business and tech outcomes
• Be curious and ready to learn a lot of new things
  
  

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Leading a team of developers, QAs and designers
• Leading the development and implementation of a domain within Teacher or District Experience
• Coordinating efforts across the product, tech, customer success and revenue teams
  
  

Requirements

• Hungry to grow within Product Development and track record of ability to go deep/obsess over projects you've run
• 1-2 years experience as product owner/manager, tech or strategy consultant, product designer, software engineer, data science
• Engineering degree (or equivalent) from top tier university
• Startup experience - you know what you are getting yourself into!
• Experience of fast paced and high performance environment
