Machine Learning Scientist (GenAI)

Contract: Until 31st December 2026

Location: Amsterdam (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Rate: Up to €120 per hour (based on a 40-hour week)

We are partnering with a leading global technology company where data drives decision-making and innovation sits at the heart of the business. The organisation is investing heavily in Generative AI to power intelligent, customer-facing products at scale.

This opportunity sits within a dedicated GenAI Applications team focused on building agentic, ML-powered solutions that enhance end-to-end customer experiences through conversational AI, recommendation systems, and intelligent assistants.

This is a high-impact role for a Senior Machine Learning Scientist who is passionate about building scalable GenAI solutions in production environments.

The Role

As a Senior Machine Learning Scientist (GenAI), you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and data professionals to design, develop, and evaluate machine learning solutions powering large-scale, customer-facing applications.

You will research, train, fine-tune, and rigorously evaluate models leveraging:

• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Recommendation systems
• Agent-based architectures
• Multimodal machine learning techniques

You will lead experimentation initiatives, define success metrics, and translate research insights into production-grade AI systems that drive measurable business impact.

Core Expertise

• Strong ML engineering experience
• GenAI, NLP and LLM experience
• Experience evaluating and judging LLM outputs
• Advanced experience in:
• Computer Vision
• Natural Language Processing
• Developing ML and Generative AI models at scale

• Proven experience delivering large-scale machine learning models that drive business impact
