We're working with Leidos on this exciting opportunity.

Join a dynamic team at Leidos to revolutionize defense IT services. This role demands a sharp Network Engineer to design and implement secure network solutions, leveraging expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and various networking protocols to consolidate and modernize DoD IT infrastructure.

The Role

  • Design and implement secure network solutions for various platforms, integrating underlay, overlay, and COI transport designs.
  • Lead discovery, analysis, and migration efforts, transforming legacy systems into a modernized DoDNet environment.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create robust network architectures, ensuring performance, security, and mission requirements are met.
  • Develop IP addressing schemes for IPv4 and IPv6 networks, contributing to future-proof infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with information assurance teams to ensure compliance with DoD standards and secure necessary accreditations.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent. Active Secret clearance required.
  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+) and a network certification (CCNA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in documenting logical/physical network designs using tools like Visio, PowerPoint, or Gliffy.
  • Strong background in LAN/WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), and Firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with at least two vendors: Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, Dell, Brocade, or Fortinet.
