About this opportunity


Site-based in Zaragoza, the Project Manager will support the project management team on a day-to-day coordination and delivery of a data centre construction project, including assistance in managing construction activities, tracking progress and supporting compliance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
  • Assisting in daily site activities and coordinating project site meetings.
  • Managing information and technical documentation, including document storing, filing and archiving, verification and checking for standards compliance, database maintenance and updates.
  • Assisting in the preparation of a project execution plan that identifies key processes and the roles and responsibilities of the project team, the general contractor and specialist sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Supporting preparation of reports, meeting minutes, and stakeholder updates.
  • Assisting in the management of the change management process by clarifying all necessary scope, justification and technical details.
  • Contributing to the development and regular update of the project risk register, assisting in the management of risk workshops.
  • Tracking the progress against schedule and flag risks or delays.
  • Undertaking regular site walks and inspections.
  • Supporting quality, safety, and compliance monitoring on site.
  • Participating in value engineering exercises and supporting the delivery of related optioneering and/or feasibility studies.
  • Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds' professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge And Key Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience as a project engineer.
  • Experience in industrial, energy or data centres construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Professional level of English and Spanish.
  • Eligible to work in Spain.
  • National mobility - available to work in various regions.


Qualifications

  • Engineering degree - Electrical or Mechanical engineer.
