We ARE Renewables is looking for a Business Analyst for one of our clients in the energy sector.

You will be working in the Business Projects department, which carries out large electricity and gas projects primarily in the western and central Netherlands. The major challenges for the Business Projects Chain include doubling our capacity to expand and upgrade our electricity grid, achieving gas replacement targets, improving the efficiency of contractor collaboration within the agreed-upon growth paths of new contracts, and professionalizing project management. To make the right decisions every day, data is essential, which our Business Analysts provide.

Task and Responsibilities

You enjoy solving complex problems with creativity. You don't shy away from large data sets; we can leave the data analysis to you. The business analyst position is a broad role in a dynamic context. You are therefore adept at maintaining focus and determining where you add the most value. You always ensure you don't lose sight of the bigger picture. You also easily switch between different stakeholders and diverse interests. Processes are central to you, and you provide advice – both solicited and unsolicited – on the content of the data to business colleagues. You're not afraid to stray from the beaten path, are willing to give feedback, and ask for further information. You do this without losing sight of the connection and the common interest. You proactively seek out opportunities to develop yourself, the content of your role, and the services you provide. You learn from new experiences and know how to use them to quickly become effective in new situations. Key Requirements

• You have at least completed a higher professional education degree, for example in the field of business IT & management or (technical) business administration;
• You have at least 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience;
• You have a Lean-Agile Mindset: you have knowledge of the Agile principles and are able to apply and promote them in practice;
• You have knowledge of working with Power BI (Fabric);
• Lakehouse (medallion architecture)
• Data modeling (star schema)
• Dataflows
• Power BI governance (RLS)
• Power Query (M)
• DAX Knowledge of SAP Hana, SQL, Python and/or process mining is an advantage;
• Basic knowledge of the Dutch language, spoken and written, is required for this position.
