Senior .NET Developer

VALE Partners has been engaged by a global technology firm to help expand their Brisbane-based software engineering capability. You’ll join a highly collaborative, product-led group that is currently at a critical inflection point of growth. This is a senior individual contributor role that offers the chance to lead by example within a strong engineering culture while maintaining a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

You'll be joining a small but high performing team. This is a group that takes pride in their work, prioritise building concensus through discussion - you'll have opportunities to contribute to decision making, see the immediate impact of your code and learn from your peers.

What You'll be Doing

• Designing, building and maintaining full stack applications using .NET Core, React, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Leading by example by writing clean, maintainable code while mentoring junior developers and championing best practices.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders and users to gather requirements and ensure development work is fit for purpose.
• Conceptualising and capitalise on opportunities to improve tooling and processes for the engineering team.

What You'll Ideally Have

• Experience building scalable back-end solutions using the latest .NET
• Exposure to event-driven architecture and implementing message queues
• Proven experience deploying and managing cloud-based applications in Azure, with hands-on experience in CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated interest in and understanding of SOLID Principles and design patterns.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in mentoring team members.
