Job Description
UX/UI Product Designer
As a UX/UI Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering intuitive, visually compelling, and high‑performing digital experiences across the CCO domain. In this hands‑on role, you own the full product design lifecycle—from research, user flows, and wireframing to high-fidelity UI design, prototyping, and supporting smooth implementation with front-end engineering teams.
You will collaborate closely with product owners, solution architects, developers, and fellow designers to ensure that our products are user-centered, accessible, scalable, and aligned with DLL’s enterprise architecture and evolving customer needs. You will also guide Agile delivery teams and champion design excellence across the Asset Management, Pay Per Use, and Global APIs domains.

UX/UI Product Designer
As a UX/UI Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering intuitive, visually compelling, and high‑performing digital experiences across the CCO domain. In this hands‑on role, you own the full product design lifecycle—from research, user flows, and wireframing to high-fidelity UI design, prototyping, and supporting smooth implementation with front-end engineering teams.
You will collaborate closely with product owners, solution architects, developers, and fellow designers to ensure that our products are user-centered, accessible, scalable, and aligned with DLL’s enterprise architecture and evolving customer needs. You will also guide Agile delivery teams and champion design excellence across the Asset Management, Pay Per Use, and Global APIs domains.
Responsibilities
UX & UI Design
- Lead the creation of user-centered designs through wireframes, prototypes, visual designs, and interaction patterns.
- Translate business requirements, user research, and UX best practices into intuitive and elegant interfaces.
- Ensure design solutions align with enterprise design systems and contribute to their growth and consistency.
- Partner with front-end developers to validate technical feasibility and support high-quality translation of designs into working applications.
- Advocate for accessible (WCAG-compliant), responsive, and inclusive design approaches.
- Ensure all design deliverables meet standards for usability, performance, and scalability.
- Serve as a lead designer within the business and agile delivery teams, guiding design decisions and ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Collaborate deeply with Product Owners to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product vision.
- Work alongside solution architects and engineers to ensure coherence between design intent and system architecture.
- Coach team members on design thinking, design tools, and best practices.
- Coordinate work across distributed teams and support smooth integration of design activities into Agile workflows.
- Validate the technical feasibility of design concepts and ensure they can be implemented effectively within modern front-end frameworks.
- Work with developers to support UI component design, behavior specifications, and integration patterns.
- Ensure design handoffs include complete documentation, interaction specs, and guidance.
- Participate in requirement workshops, refinement sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support troubleshooting and enhancements related to the user experience across environments, including production.
Day To Day
- Lead end‑to‑end UX and UI design activities—from initial concept and user flows to high-fidelity prototypes and final design delivery.
- Translate business needs, product requirements, and user insights into intuitive, accessible, and high-performing interfaces.
- Partner closely with UX designers and convert wireframes, journeys, and research findings into polished, implementation-ready designs.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to validate feasibility, clarify interactions, and support accurate and high‑quality development.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including planning, refinement, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization with design perspectives and user-centered recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and optimize UX/UI issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Coordinate with solution architects to ensure design alignment with enterprise architecture, technical constraints, and long-term vision.
- Continuously explore modern design methods, tools, and patterns to enhance experience quality and delivery efficiency.
- Quality, clarity, and usability of delivered designs.
- Adoption, satisfaction, and engagement from end users.
- Team delivery metrics and ability to meet design commitments within sprints.
- Alignment with design system, brand standards, and accessibility requirements.
- Reduction in UI-related defects or design inconsistencies post-release.
- Two working days per year volunteering for a local charity.

Essentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in UX/UI product design within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong proficiency with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Deep understanding of:
- Interaction design and information architecture
- UX research methods and usability principles
- Responsive UI, accessibility (WCAG), and cross browser design
- Design systems and component-based design
- Knowledge of product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Qualtrics)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with front-end teams working in React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with API-driven design and cloud-based ecosystems (Azure preferred).
- Foundational understanding of web application behaviour, security considerations, and UX implications.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into user-friendly design solutions.
- Ability to articulate design rationale to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience writing clear user stories and UX acceptance criteria.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic, diverse team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to provide design leadership and influence decision‑making.
- Experience mentoring or coaching designers or team members.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Commitment to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and transparent culture.
