As IT Director for Bupa Global in the Middle East & Asia, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting one of our most important growth regions. This role sits at the heart of our international expansion, shaping the technology foundations that enable secure, compliant and scalable healthcare services across the region.

You’ll lead technology strategy and delivery in a highly regulated environment, ensuring our platforms are resilient, cost‑effective and ready to support rapid growth. It’s a senior leadership role with real influence, autonomy and long‑term scope.

Key Responsibilities

As IT Director, you’ll be accountable for all aspects of technology across the Middle East & Asia business. This includes setting direction, ensuring operational excellence, and leading large‑scale transformation.

Your Role Will Include

• Defining and delivering the technology vision, strategy and roadmap aligned to Bupa Global priorities
• Owning the delivery of IT services, digital transformation, data, reporting and change initiatives
• Leading cyber security and information security in partnership with Group security teams
• Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements and Bupa governance standards
• Managing IT budgets, suppliers and commercial outcomes
• Building, leading and engaging high‑performing local and third‑party teams
• Acting as a member of the regional executive team and contributing to wider business decisions
• Enabling colleagues to use technology confidently and effectively to support customers, members and brokers
• Making sure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are fit for purpose
  
  

While this is a senior role, it also requires hands‑on leadership, particularly during periods of change and growth.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced, values‑led technology leader who is comfortable operating at executive level and in complex, regulated environments.

You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally as an IT Director or equivalent
• Experience delivering large‑scale IT and digital transformation programmes
• Strong knowledge of cyber security, risk and regulatory compliance
• A track record of influencing senior stakeholders and challenging constructively
• Commercial awareness, including budget ownership and vendor management
• Experience in healthcare, insurance or similarly regulated sectors
• Experience working in the Middle East is highly desirable
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in IT service management or delivery
• Arabic language capability is beneficial but not essential.
