Job Description
Provide support to Engineers and Project Managers within the Infrastructure Delivery department in the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across project lifecycles.

- Join the Infrastructure Delivery team
Provide support to Engineers and Project Managers within the Infrastructure Delivery department in the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across project lifecycles.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage minor infrastructure projects under supervision from senior staff member.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents for works including briefs, schedules, specifications and contract documentation and assist with the evaluation of tenders and quotations for work.
- Contribute to the implementation of a monthly construction site surveillance regime for the projects assisting with, to ensure quality outcomes for Council.
- Understand what constitutes compliance with all relevant Council policies, government regulations and laws, applicable for your work, with support from senior staff.
- Ensure works are being constructed in accordance with approved drawings and relevant specifications, maintain appropriate Quality Assurance documentation and records.
- Support/undertake accurate reporting of projects and/or programs’ progress and forecasting within the required timeframe.
- Understand the Strategic and Operational links with relevant departments within Council and assist with the implementation of Council Plan objectives.
- Have a basic understanding of aspects that contribute to the successful delivery of projects/programs such as (but not limited to) Procurement, Project Brief preparation, Contract administration, project delivery methodology, stakeholder management and management of project risks.
- Provide support in managing projects and/or programs budget appropriately.
- Have an understanding in all aspects of project delivery including procurement, contract management and supervision of capital works, especially in Council-type projects.
- Demonstrated ability to gain cooperation from stakeholders, contractors and members in the context of own work.
- Knowledge in procurement and contract management in local government setting, or similar, will be beneficial.
- Experience and understanding of local government processes and environment, will be beneficial.
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to gain cooperation from stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or equivalent.
- Current driver’s license.
