IT Officer / Specialist

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall technology roadmap aligned with business, risk, and regulatory objectives.
• Oversee the design and security of core virtual asset infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks in the Sultanate of Oman relating to ICT security, data protection, and operational resilience.
• Lead the implementation of cybersecurity frameworks, incident-response plans, and penetration testing programs.
• Supervise technology vendors and third-party integrations, ensuring appropriate outsourcing governance and due diligence.
• Manage systems for transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and blockchain analytics to support compliance and reporting obligations.
• Oversee IT risk management, business continuity, and disaster-recovery processes.
• Represent the firm in regulatory technology reviews, audits, and due-diligence exercises.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in technology leadership roles, ideally within regulated financial institutions, virtual asset exchanges, or fintechs.
• Proven track record in blockchain system architecture, custody technologies, or cryptographic security.
• Experience managing compliance with financial-sector ICT frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, SOC 2).
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with regulators and auditors on technology-related matters.
• Deep understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contracts, wallet architectures, and private-key management
• Strong background in cybersecurity, encryption, identity-access management, and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of transaction settlement, API integration, and data governance in financial systems.
