Web Engineer

Our client is a leading B2B Technology provider.

Role:

Our client is hiring experienced .NET Web Engineers to join a growing engineering team building secure, modern web applications. This role is mainly backend-focused in C#/.NET, with some React / Next.js frontend work, particularly around authentication and authorization.

This is a great opportunity for engineers with 5 years’ experience who have worked with APIs, identity providers, and modern web stacks, and want to deepen their skills in secure application development.

Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining ASP.NET Core Web APIs (.NET 8+, minimal APIs)
• Working with authentication and authorization in real-world systems
• Integrating APIs with enterprise identity providers (Entra ID / Okta)
• Supporting React / Next.js frontends with protected routes
• Working on frontend ↔ backend authentication flows (tokens, sessions, CORS basics)
• Adding basic logging and audit capabilities for admin/back-office systems
• Collaborating with backend and frontend engineers to deliver secure solutions

Requirements

Essential:

Building secure .NET Web APIs (.NET 8+, minimal APIs, auth middleware, custom authorization handlers)

• .NET 8+, C#, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, React

Nice to Have:

• ASP.NET Core Authentication and Authorization, including experience with Microsoft EntraID (OpenID Connect, OAuth2), or other Identity and Access Management (IAM) / Identity Providers (IdP) solutions
• Experience using Role- and claim-based access control (RBAC/ABAC, policy-based authorization)
• Designing APIs with authorization baked in (roles, claims, scopes, attributes/directives)
• React / Next.js apps with protected routes and identity provider integration
• Frontend - backend auth flows (tokens, session handling, CORS basics)
• Logging and audit basics for admin/back-office systems
