In this vital role, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations in a prestigious 5-star luxury hospitality environment. As part of our team in The Chedi Muscat, you'll work in an ONSITE setting, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and ensuring excellence in every aspect of facility management, maintenance, and guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all mechanical, electrical, and civil systems.
- Maintain all property assets to the highest 5-star standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental protocols across the property.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for specialist works and compliance.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to maintain regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to support special projects, renovations, and strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering leadership roles within 5-star luxury hospitality service.
- Very good command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of building systems, hotel operations, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical teams and large-scale maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of Arabic language.
- Experience working in the Middle East hospitality sector.
- Advanced credentials or certifications in building management or sustainability.
