Network Engineer

Job Title / Role: Network Engineer

Experience: A minimum of 6 years related experience is required.

Location: Chicago, IL

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM

We at Coforge are seeking A Network Engineer with experience in 7 years of working in the network operations / network deployment space and Background in GRNT (Global Restaurant Network Transformation) or similar large-scale network rollout programs.

Technical Experience

• Background in GRNT (Global Restaurant Network Transformation) or similar large-scale network rollout programs.
• 7–10 years working in the network operations / network deployment space. Strong understanding of:
• WAN/LAN fundamentals
• Wi‑Fi, SD‑WAN, firewalls, routers, switches
• How network connectivity impacts restaurants/retail operations
• Experience supporting or coordinating store/restaurant tech upgrades is highly preferred.

Industry Knowledge

• Experience in QSR, retail, franchise environments, or distributed systems is a plus.
• Understanding of how network requirements flow into day‑to‑day restaurant operations.

Functional & Organizational Skills

• Ability to coordinate day‑to‑day organizational efforts for keeping restaurants compliant and up‑to‑date with network standards.
• Strong skills in:
• Scheduling and coordinating field activities
• Tracking network readiness
• Managing multiple workstreams across markets
• Experience working with helpdesk, service desks, or support teams is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Highly organized
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Able to work across cross‑functional teams (engineering, deployment, vendor teams, operations)
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment

Ideal Candidate Profile (Quick Snapshot)

• 5–7 years network experience
• GRNT or similar network transformation exposure
• Restaurant/QSR network experience (preferred)
• Organizational + project coordination skills
• Comfortable with day‑to‑day operational execution

Helpdesk/service desk familiarity (preferred)
