Recipharm is currently recruiting an Engineering Project Manager to join its Engineering and Maintenance team.

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient planning, execution, and delivery of CAPEX projects, ensuring full compliance with budget, schedule, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Management and supervision of CAPEX investment projects related to pharmaceutical production plants, including clean rooms, equipment, utilities, and laboratories
  • Coordination and control of interfaces between key engineering disciplines (civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, automation, and plant planning)
  • Planning, budgeting, execution, and monitoring of projects in accordance with pharmaceutical industry standards
  • Close collaboration with internal departments such as Quality, Production, MSAT, and HSE to define technical and regulatory specifications
  • Feasibility studies and development of technical solutions to meet user requirements
  • Definition and management of project budgets
  • Acting as Project Manager for approved projects, from design to completion
  • Supervision of installation, commissioning, and start-up of plants, equipment, and infrastructure
  • Project handover in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, environmental, and pharmaceutical quality regulations
  • Promoting technological innovation and continuous improvement of production assets


Required Profile And Skills

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering or Science (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or similar)
  • 4 to 10 years of experience managing CAPEX projects in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Solid knowledge of engineering workflows and systems (P&IDs, 3D models, specifications, functional descriptions, simulations, calculations)
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and international regulatory standards (FDA, EMA)
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in regulated environments
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent project management, budgeting, and supplier management skills
  • Leadership abilities and experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English, written and spoken (minimum B2 level)


Location: Queluz de Baixo & Póvoa de Santo Adrião, Lisbon

Working hours: Full-time
