Job Opening: Freelance Backend Developer (Mid–Senior)

Commitment: 4-6 hours for 3 months as an estimate

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Freelance Backend Developer (Mid–Senior) to help us build and maintain backend services for our fintech applications. You’ll work closely with our team to deliver APIs, improve data flows, and keep backend systems reliable and easy to extend.

Bonus: If you’re full-stack (especially Expo / React Native), that’s a strong plus — you may also help with small mobile UI work and end-to-end feature delivery when needed.

Responsabilities

Backend Development

Build, maintain, and improve backend services in Node.js / TypeScript.
Design and optimize RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
Improve database performance, data integrity, and overall system reliability.
Debug production issues and ship pragmatic fixes.

Collaboration & Quality

Participate in code reviews and follow agreed engineering standards.
Work closely with product and frontend teams to scope work and deliver iteratively.
Write lightweight, useful documentation for APIs and backend components.

Delivery

Communicate progress clearly and proactively.
Break down tasks, estimate effort, and deliver in weekly cycles.

Languages: TypeScript, Node.js
Backend: NestJS, Express.js
Mobile (Bonus): Expo, React Native
Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis
Version Control: Git, GitHub
PM/Tracking: Monday.com

Requirements

Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
Mid–advanced experience with NestJS and Node.js.
Solid backend fundamentals: API design, authentication/authorization basics, and data modeling.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
Knowledge or experience with blockchain technology (EVM and L2 chains; web3 libraries such as ethers.js, viem, or similar).

Nice To Have

Full-stack profile: comfortable contributing to both backend and mobile for small features, UI fixes, and integration work.
Experience integrating third-party services and APIs.
Familiarity with fintech product constraints (security, auditability, reliability).
